Driven by a Passion for Creativity

My name is Marsha Fox, and I am the owner, website builder, and video creator behind The Knitting Enthusiast. My passion for knitting began when I was a little girl. I used to go to a shop called Goldman’s Yarn Store on Fordham Road in the Bronx with my mom.

I would sit on a chair while she picked out her yarn. Afterward, we would go to the back of the store where a few ladies gathered to give free knitting instructions to anyone who came in.

My Humble Beginnings

My mother was a right-handed craftswoman who tried desperately to teach me, a left-handed individual, how to knit. This did not work, so she taught me how work with my non-dominant hand, strengthening this part of my body for activities beyond knitting.

To the right is a photo of when I was five years old wearing an angora sweater that my mom knitted for me.

About My Products

I decided that I would like to share what I know about knitting and sell products that will help you complete your projects. The yarn I sell is imported and our yarn is marketed at affordable prices. Please visit my store from time to time to stay updated.

Instructional Videos

I also create videos to help customers learn about a variety of knitting patterns and techniques. I have tried to do each step slowly so that even beginners can follow along.

I have also collected videos from YouTube to help you enhance your knitting/knitting machine experience.

Please let me know if you would like me to do an instructional video about a specific style or method. I accept requests and would gladly accommodate your suggestions.
